Transition to Red Dot

This class is designed to help handgun students correctly, and officially transfer from from the use of traditional iron sites to a modern Red Dot Scope (RDS) optical aiming platform.

Students will gain an understanding of how they work, zeroing at given distance, their benefits and shortcomings. On the range, we will develop a fast and positive acquisition of the dot every time.

No dog is too old to learn these tricks.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of firearm, safety, and pistol shooting skills. (to include trigger finger discipline, muzzle discipline, ability to safely load and unload handgun; basic shooting ability)

What to bring

  • Red dot equipped pistol. (If you do not have one, there are a limited quantity available to use for class but you MUST bring your own non-red dot pistol with you.)
  • Eye & Ear Protection
  • Notebook
  • 100 rounds of ammunition available for purchase at the store.
